Detailed Itinerary

Upon arriving at Dehradun airport or Haridwar / Rishikesh railway station, you will be warmly received and transferred to your riverside camp or hotel for a smooth check-in. Freshen up and head to the iconic Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula suspension bridges for a scenic evening stroll. As night falls, make your way to Triveni Ghat and witness the breathtaking Ganga Aarti - a deeply spiritual ritual of fire, devotion, and sound that perfectly sets the tone for your Rishikesh adventure.
Rise early and gear up for the highlight of the trip - white-water rafting on the mighty Ganges through thrilling Grade II'IV rapids from Shivpuri to Rishikesh (approx. 16 km). Safety gear, certified guides, and all equipment are provided. Post-rafting, head to Marine Drive for an optional cliff jumping experience that will get your heart racing all over again. The evening is reserved for a riverside bonfire with music, snacks, and the starlit Himalayan sky as your backdrop.
Kick off the morning with India's most iconic bungee jump - an 83-metre free fall over a rocky gorge at Jumpin Heights, Mohan Chatti. Follow it up with the exhilarating flying fox (zip-line) that sends you soaring across the Ganges valley at high speed. After lunch, lace up your shoes for a refreshing trek to Neer Garh Waterfall - a scenic 1.5 km trail through dense forest ending at a stunning cascade perfect for photos. The evening gives you a choice between a calming yoga and meditation session with a certified instructor or free time to explore the local caf's and markets around Laxman Jhula.
Begin your final morning with an optional sunrise yoga session by the Ganges - a peaceful and grounding way to close your Rishikesh chapter. After a hearty breakfast, take a last stroll through the vibrant local market for souvenirs, artisan goods, or a quick cup of local chai. Your private transfer to Dehradun airport or Haridwar / Rishikesh railway station will be arranged at your convenience, sending you home with a heart full of adventure and unforgettable Himalayan memories.

Packing Guide

What to Carry

Pack smart for an adventure trip - here's your essential checklist.

Quick-Dry Clothes

Carry lightweight, quick-dry T-shirts and shorts for rafting and outdoor activities. Avoid cotton for water sports.

Valid ID Proof

Aadhaar, Voter ID or Passport is mandatory for all travellers and required for adventure activity sign-ins.

Water Shoes / Sandals

Closed-toe sandals or water shoes with grip are essential for rafting and waterfall treks. Avoid flip-flops.

Sunscreen & Sunglasses

The Ganges valley sun is harsh. SPF 50+ sunscreen and UV-protected sunglasses are a must, especially on the raft.

Light Jacket / Fleece

Rishikesh evenings can be cool, especially near the river. A light jacket or fleece for bonfires and post-rafting comfort.

Waterproof Dry Bag

Protect your phone, wallet and valuables during rafting. A small waterproof pouch or dry bag is highly recommended.

Travel Tips

1

Book bungee in advance. Slots at Jumpin Heights fill up fast, especially on weekends and in peak season. Reserve your slot at least 2-3 days ahead.

2

Don't eat heavy before rafting. Have a light breakfast on rafting day. Avoid spicy or oily food at least 2 hours before getting on the water.

3

Listen to your safety guide. Rafting guides are trained professionals - follow their paddle commands immediately, especially near Grade III and IV rapids.

4

Keep phones in a dry bag. The Ganges will get you wet! Rent a waterproof case from your camp or bring your own for the rafting stretch.

5

Attend Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat. It happens every evening at sunset. Arrive 20 minutes early to get a good spot - it's one of the most moving experiences in India.

Best Time

When to Visit

Feb - April

Pre-summer season - moderate weather, river levels ideal for rafting, fewer crowds.

Sept - Nov

Post-monsoon - clear skies, swollen river for thrilling rapids, pleasant temperatures.

July - Aug

Avoid - heavy monsoon, rafting restricted by authorities, landslide risk on treks.

Dec - Jan

Off-season - cold but peaceful. Rafting still available; yoga retreats very popular this time.
