Detailed Itinerary

After breakfast, hop in the car and set off from Haridwar toward Barkot. Along the way, the route takes you through some lovely scenery, with chances to stop at Shiv Mandir, Mussoorie, and the beautiful Kempty Falls. If you have some extra time, Bhatta Falls and Maggie Point are great little stops, and a short stroll along Mall Road in Mussoorie is always a nice experience. Once you reach Barkot, check into your hotel and settle in for a relaxing overnight stay..
Wake up early, have a good breakfast, and set off on the drive to Jankichatti. The Yamunotri Temple is around 6 km from there, and you can either walk the distance or hop on a pony or palki if you want to take it easy. Once you reach the temple, take a holy dip at Jamunabai Kund and spend some devoted time at Yamunotri Temple during darshan. When you feel ready, make your way back to Jankichatti and then drive back to Barkot, where a satisfying dinner and a cozy night stay at the hotel will round off your day beautifully.
After breakfast, pack up and head out from Barkot towards Uttarkashi. Along the way, consider stopping at Shivgufa Temple, a quiet and interesting spot worth a short visit if time permits. Once you arrive in Uttarkashi, make your way to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, lovingly known as Chota Kashi, and soak in the calm and spiritual energy of the place. After that, check into your hotel, freshen up, and unwind. Dinner and a peaceful overnight stay in Uttarkashi will bring the day to a gentle close.
After breakfast, head out on the drive toward Gangotri. On the way, make a stop at Gangnani where you can take a warm, relaxing dip at Garam Kund. As you continue toward Gangotri, the views of Harshil Valley and Lanka Bridge are truly something to soak in. Once you reach Gangotri, spend some time at the temple for darshan before making your way back to Uttarkashi. End the day with dinner and a peaceful overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, hit the road and begin making your way towards Guptkashi. The drive is a pleasant one, passing through charming small towns and offering some lovely mountain views that make the journey feel worthwhile. Once you reach Guptkashi, check into your hotel, get comfortable in your room, and give yourself some well deserved rest after the long drive.
Rise early and get moving towards Kedarnath without delay. Once you reach the base point, the 18 km trek to Kedarnath begins, and you can choose to walk, ride a pony or palki, or even take a helicopter if you prefer (available at an extra cost). Upon arriving at Kedarnath, spend meaningful time at the Kedarnath Temple during darshan and also pay a visit to the Bhairav Temple nearby. When you are ready, begin the return journey and make your way back to Guptkashi for a well deserved night stay.
After breakfast, get on the road and drive your way towards Badrinath. Once you arrive, check into the hotel and take a moment to settle in. Head over to Tapta Kund for a holy bath, a deeply refreshing and spiritually significant experience, and then make your way to the Badrinath Temple for darshan. Afterwards, return to the hotel and enjoy a relaxing overnight stay.
After breakfast, make your way to Mana Village and spend some time exploring its wonderful spots, including Bhim Pul, Vyas Gufa, the Saraswati River, and the beautiful Vasudhara Waterfall. It is a place that feels both spiritually rich and naturally stunning, so take your time soaking it all in. Once you are done, hit the road and continue your drive towards Rudraprayag or Srinagar. Check into your hotel upon arrival and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.
After breakfast, begin your drive back towards Haridwar. The route home is just as rewarding, with stops at Dhari Devi Temple and the serene Devprayag Sangam, and a pleasant pass through the spiritual town of Rishikesh. Once you reach Haridwar, check into your hotel, get settled in, and enjoy a peaceful overnight stay..
After a leisurely breakfast, pack your bags and head to the Airport or Railway Station to catch your onward journey back home. Jai Badri Vishal

Pro Tips

Travel Tips

1

Start early each day. Temples get very crowded by 9 AM. Aim to reach by 6-7 AM for a peaceful darshan experience.

2

Stay hydrated. High altitude can cause dehydration quickly. Carry at least 2 litres of water daily and avoid alcohol.

3

Book Kedarnath helicopter in advance. Helicopter seats sell out weeks before - book as soon as you confirm your package.

4

Carry cash. ATMs are scarce beyond Uttarkashi and Guptkashi. Withdraw enough before leaving Haridwar.

5

Respect local customs. Remove footwear before temples, dress modestly, and maintain silence inside shrines.

Best Time

When to Visit

May - June

Peak season - pleasant weather, temples fully open, rhododendrons in bloom.

Sept - Oct

Post-monsoon - clear skies, best mountain views, less crowded temples.

July - Aug

Avoid - heavy monsoon, frequent landslides, road closures possible.

Nov - Apr

Temples closed - Char Dham portals shut for winter after Diwali typically.
